Michael Tooley
Integrative Therapeutic Counselling, Somatic Trauma Therapy and CBT
I offer integrative therapeutic counselling, hypnotherapy, and other therapeutic approaches to individuals who have a specific issue or just feel the need to talk through their emotions and experiences. Whatever might be troubling you, I offer a safe and confidential place where you can talk freely and explore whatever is on your mind; I am not here to judge you. Youll feel listened to, for your story to be heard and in your own words - giving you the space to just be you.

About me and my practice
Approach
I use a gentle and compassionate style as we journey together to find what can best support you, including helping you make more sense of things and exploring resources that can aid you with better managing your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I draw on a range of therapy models to better support your unique and individual needs.
Supporting a range of issues
I work with people who are facing a variety of difficulties, such as stress and anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement and loss, illness, relationship issues, abuse, trauma, PTSD and suicidal thoughts.
Get in contact
Why not drop me a text/email with a day/time that is convenient for you and I will telephone you back for an initial free and informal chat? This will be around 15 minutes where we can explore your needs and how I might be able to offer you support. You are never under any pressure or obligations and are always free to decide what might work best, including taking your time to decide whether or not youd like us to continue together.

Experience
I have experience working in a range of mental health and support-role settings since 2013. This includes mental health, bereavement and counselling charities and in education, supporting young people with special education needs and disabilities.
I have worked with a diverse range of clients from different ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds. I have experience working with many different challenges people have and still face in their lives including bereavement (as well as pets), terminal illness, suicidal ideation, self-harm, substance misuse, victims of crime, trauma & PTSD symptoms.
In addition to private practice, I work part-time as a counsellor for a counselling agency and for a bereavement charity, offering support to clients experiencing grief, bereavement and loss.
